Over the years Bankok has grown from a place near a river to a metro city that spans as many as six provinences. The citys main business areas are continuely expanding an d the area growing at a rapid pace.
The fast pace at which this city is growing stems from the Westerners that move to the area and the Thailand population that keeps growing and growing all the time. This has brough a lot of housing and business booming to the area, which has also been good for employement with the population and for those looking to buy land in Bankok.
With the city in boom it is not suprising that room is sparse and therefore the city could only grown ‘up’ as there was no more room left for building housing. There is over one thousand skyscrapers that grace the skies of Bankok and it is also ranked as the 17th most tallest city in the world.
This is not inclusive of the many more skyscrapers and buildings that have gone on over the past ten years of more. Bankok went through some dramatic changes in a short space of time when the population took on an overnight expansion.
Major land development went into overdrive and quiet areas were turned into business districts and buildings or apartments.
